Metropolitan Bus Station in Lublin | Dworzec Metropolitalny w Lublinie
Widely recognized as one of the most advanced transport hubs in Poland—and across Europe—Lublin’s new Integrated Transport Center impresses with its bold steel architecture and eco-friendly solutions.
Its distinctive “tree-like” pillars each measure 4.2 × 9.2 × 9.2 meters, weigh 31 tons, and required 44 oversized transports to deliver. The entire canopy structure weighs roughly 700 tons. A 0.5 MW photovoltaic system supplies clean energy, while a modern water-recovery system and over 1,000 newly planted trees showcase the project’s commitment to sustainability. Spanning nearly 290 meters, the station accommodates local, intercity, and international services in a sleek, future-focused environment.
Commissioned by Mostostal Kraków, my photographs aim to capture how precise steelwork and innovative design come together to create a genuinely world-class public space.
